Day 7: End

Its the last day.

THANK. GOD.

I pretty much refrained from using any digital device for the entire day today. I simply reflected on myself and the past week.

I’ve realized that my life is too “digital” to simply drop off the grid. As sad as it is, I need Facebook. I need my email. I need that digital interaction. It is an addiction and its not healthy in the least.

But hey, the first step in recovering from an addiction is to realize that you have a problem right? That day has come. I realize that I have a serious problem and that its time I do something about it. I need to stop wasting my precious time simply staring infront of a screen. As a filmmaker, I need to network; in person. I can send as many emails as I’d like to various production houses hoping one of them will pick me up, but the only way that they can really consider me is if they meet me in person. I need to work on my real-life personality rather than my internet one.

Today was wonderful. The sun was shining, the breeze blowing, and the pool was warm. I went swimming and as I floated there in the pool, I realized that the cloud above me looked like the twitter icon.

I think I’m seeing things.

Yeah. Raw files. No grading. A lot of grain. Not too pleased.

But enjoy anyways.
